RBR50 will not load pictured and videos from facebook or instagram
On wifi, non of our devices will load most pictures or videos on Facebook or Instagram. If we turn wifi off, they come right through. Firmware is updated, tried a reboot. No luck....

Re: RBR50 will not load pictured and videos from facebook or instagram
1. what modem/gateway is the orbi connected to?
2. what firmware are you actually on?
3. have you tried using a different dns provider like googles at 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 or even cloudfare at 1.1.1.1

Re: RBR50 will not load pictured and videos from facebook or instagram
1. Nighthawk CM1200 cable modem
2. Orbi Firmware V2.7.3.22
3. The orbi mobile apps shows it is using the DNS server from our ISP (Spectrum). For my desktop using Chrome, I tried a few others and nothing changed.
Thank your for your response and being polite to a non-techie.
I think the issue has to do with the cable modem, and perhaps something with IPv6? IPV6 is not being utlilized eventhough the modem supports IPv6 and "Your DNS server (possibly run by your ISP) appears to have IPv6 Internet access".
Test with IPv4 DNS record | ok (0.226s) using ipv4
Test with IPv6 DNS record | bad (0.088s)
Test with Dual Stack DNS record | ok (0.242s) using ipv4
Test for Dual Stack DNS and large packet | ok (0.211s) using ipv4
Test IPv4 without DNS | ok (0.147s) using ipv4
Test IPv6 without DNS | bad (0.006s)
Test IPv6 large packet | bad (0.096s)
Test if your ISP's DNS server uses IPv6 | ok (0.263s) using ipv4
Find IPv4 Service Provider | ok (0.487s) using ipv4 ASN 20001
Find IPv6 Service Provider | bad (0.097s) |
It is all a foreign language to me.
There are posts all over the internet about this issue but none of the threads I have found give the solution. Thank you again for your time and patience.
