Unable to send email
I am trying to send the event logs and it fails because the hostname is not fully qualified.
Setting up the domain name in the internet settings has no impact.
If I try to add the FQDN to the router name it runs out of space. There is a limit to char size.
I get the following error: [email failed] <MR60>: Helo command rejected: need fully-qualified hostname, Wednesday, Aug 17,2022 19:10:40
Note, the name of the router doesn't change if I change it in the GUI.
Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Re: Unable to send email
The email process for logs is very sensitive to the SMTP server. You don't say which SMTP server you are using.
Some servers just won't accept the antiquated process that Netgear uses. Then there are services like GMail that have changed how their services work, with the growing use of 2FA,
There are even differences between Netgear's routers.
It can be easier to find a free email account that you can use for the process and then set it up to send logs to a preferred email address.
Microsoft's outlook.com works with some routers.
Maybe others have their own preferred SMTP server.
