WiFi connection Unstable
I just got this new Router. Freshly installed and upgrade to the latest firmware (Firmwareversion V1.0.3.80_1.0.1). I've manually chosen a wireless channel that wouldn't interfere with the one if my neighbours. Problem is I keep losing connection on wireless. Rapidly disconnecting-reconnecting. Happens on all wifi devices.
This is the only hint I get from the log:
[DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 14:05:10 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 14:03:57 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 14:02:59 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 14:01:59 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 14:00:58 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:59:49 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:58:05 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:48:01 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:45:59 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:45:05 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:44:03 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:43:04 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:42:05 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:41:06 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:40:09 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:39:06 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.5] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:38:52 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:38:11 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:37:16 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:36:23 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:34:22 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:34:04 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:30:12 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.6] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:29:17 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.7] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:29:01 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.6] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:28:24 [DHCP IP: 10.0.0.6] to MAC address <hidden mac address>, Mon,Jun 08,2020 13:28:06
It's impossible to have a stable line. What can I do? Wired connection are stable.

Re: WiFi connection Unstable
Couldn't find the DHCP lease time. Also those MAC Addresses are different.
Wireless Setup:
- AX Enabled
- Smart Connect Enabled
- 20/40 MHz Coexistence Disabled (Default)
2.4GHz:
- Channel set manually
- Mode: Up to 600 Mbps (Max)
- Transmit Power: 100%
5Ghz
- Channel set manually
- Mode: 2400 (Max)
- Transmit: 100%
Both WPA2-Personal[AES]
LAN Setup:
- IP Address: 10.0.0.1
- IP Subnet: 255.255.255.0
- RIP Direction: Both (Default)
- RIP Version: Disabled (Default)
- Using Router as DHCP Sever (10.0.0.2 - 10.0.0.254)
- No Address Reservation
QoS Enabled (But also works terrible)

Re: WiFi connection Unstable
So that I understand 10.0.0.7 is being assined across two different MACs ? Check that...7 isn't static on a client and within the DHCP scope. If so reduce the scope or set the client to DHCP assigned.
but mostly just a guess as the logs don't show much.

Re: WiFi connection Unstable
Sorry I wasn't more specific;
This is just small fraction of the log. It extends to a lot more. I have around 6 different wifi clients. All get the same problem. Some connected via 2.4GHz, other 5GHz.
Later I will backup my settings and restore to factory defaults.

Re: WiFi connection Unstable
Also to answer your question, each MAC Address is being assigned it's own IP address (always the same IP).

Re: WiFi connection Unstable
Unfortunately the issue persists. I only changed the SSID name and Password. The rest is pretty much default.

Not sure if this helps, but I also have a very low bandwidth speed on a notebook (15-20 Mbps on a 100 Mbps connection), while standing right next to the router. Wired works perfectly.

Re: WiFi connection Unstable
Couple of things to try
1. could you go to the ...3 client and (assume Windows) run "ioconfig /all" in a cmd and post the info. (Scrub the MACs before posting if you want)
2. Just noticed you have smart connect working. Always had issues with that feature, could you disable that and see if it works?
are those the only logs you get ? Still leaning in the DHCP lease time direction. The times differences in the logs look to me like the renewal reservations. But a massive guess

Also noted that you've gone from private class a to class c ? Are you looking at a different network or has your ip config changed.

Re: WiFi connection Unstable
I've resetted the router and the problem persisted for some time. Suddenly it stopped and hasn't returned.
I do still have an issue with the WiFi bandwidth. It seems to run very slow. In the settings I've checked that both are set on max (600 Mbps 100% on 2.4 GHz, and 2400 Mbps 100% on 5 GHz). Guest WiFi is disabled.
With an internal network speedtest (iperf to a local wired PC), I only get around 80 Mbps.
iperf3.exe -c 192.168.1.3 Connecting to host 192.168.1.3, port 5201 [ 4] local 192.168.1.8 port 51877 connected to 192.168.1.3 port 5201 [ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth [ 4] 0.00-1.01 sec 6.75 MBytes 56.3 Mbits/sec [ 4] 1.01-2.01 sec 13.6 MBytes 114 Mbits/sec [ 4] 2.01-3.00 sec 9.00 MBytes 75.8 Mbits/sec [ 4] 3.00-4.00 sec 11.0 MBytes 92.3 Mbits/sec [ 4] 4.00-5.00 sec 5.38 MBytes 45.1 Mbits/sec [ 4] 5.00-6.00 sec 11.5 MBytes 96.1 Mbits/sec [ 4] 6.00-7.01 sec 10.1 MBytes 84.7 Mbits/sec [ 4] 7.01-8.01 sec 9.88 MBytes 82.5 Mbits/sec [ 4] 8.01-9.00 sec 8.50 MBytes 72.1 Mbits/sec [ 4] 9.00-10.00 sec 12.2 MBytes 103 Mbits/sec - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth [ 4] 0.00-10.00 sec 98.0 MBytes 82.2 Mbits/sec sender [ 4] 0.00-10.00 sec 98.0 MBytes 82.2 Mbits/sec receiver iperf Done.
Note that 192.168.1.3 is a cat6 connected PC.
I should get at least 550 which I had on my previous low-end router. I've enabled/disabled some WiFi settings (AX, Smart Connect, 20/40 Coexistence) but nothings seems give a decent WiFi speed for this "high-end" router.
Should I return it for warranty? I've made this speedtest short after I've resetted the router (minimal settings adjustments done).

Re: WiFi connection Unstable
I just realized this is a known issue:
Why does the WiFi feel slow on my NETGEAR Nighthawk AX4?
This is really disappointing. Is there still no fix even one year after being acknowledged that this is a software issue?

Re: WiFi connection Unstable
Is "Enable MU-MIMO" unchecked? I noticed speed issues when it was checked.
Also, in lieu of using Smart Connect, I just name my 2.4 and 5 networks the same name so that the clients can decide the best network.
I'm still on FW V1.0.1.70_1.0.30
