I've been happily using 2 Seagate USB 3.0 drives, one 4T and the othe 8T NTFS formatted drives, with the r9000 until firmware 1.0.5.8. This firmware will only let me copy approximately 4G of a file to the drive before the OS (Windows 10 Pro) tells me that the file is too big forr the destination. I finally set aside some ltime yesterday to toruibleshoot the issue and discovered that downgrading the firmware to 1.0.5.2 resolved the problem. My drives are not on the supported list so I do not expect any reaction from Netgear but I fear that I may be on 1.0.5.2 for the life of the drives or the router, whichever ends ffirst.

Hello Brandon
You may want to try our Beta firmware for the R9000. If you do send me a pm.
