A password for Netgear

My BIGGEST PROBLEM with Netgear is how to create a new password.

Here is what I mean.

I follow all the recommendations from Netgear on how to create my password but NOTHING(!) works.

I have tried VARIOUS APPS to create a 17 plus digit passwords (that would take BILLIONS OF YEARS FOR the computer to crack), but NETGEAR does not accept it.

NOTHING IS GOOD for Netgear as a password.

What's more.

Even with the most complex (it would take 3895 billion years to crack your password) password, NETGEAR does not allow me to sign in.

What is my solution.

I take that simple Netgear Temp verification code as my new Password.

What the HECK, NETGEAR?

Re: A password for Netgear

Do you get any error messages when trying to setup your password.  My password is 13 characters and I have no issues with that.  Provide more information about your issue and configuration may help to determine the problem.

   "a new password" for _WHAT_?

_Which_ "recommendations from Netgear"?  What, exactly, are you
reading?  Thanks for the helpful links?

Have you considered the advantages of revealing to the non-psychics
in your audience some clues as to what you're doing?

None of this is a useful problem description.  It does not say what
you did.  It does not say what happened when you did it.  As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.

A clear description of what _does_ happen would be more useful
than a vague description of what does _not_ happen.

"NETGEAR" is a corporation which sells devices.  With which are you
dealing?  If it's a device, like, say, a router, then you might look for
"Model" on its product label, and explore this radical concept which
helps some people:

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RTFM

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual (at least).  Read.  Look for
"Types of Logins".  Further reading might not hurt, either.

If it's the corporation, then presumably you're looking at some web
page of other.  Which?

Re: A password for Netgear

I am writing about the login password for Netgear.com
Nothing else.
This is a Netgear discussion forum; therefore, I have posted my unhappiness with the Netgear (only!) password requirements.
I don’t want to contact the Netgear customer service and waste about one hour of my time arguing about What.

Re: A password for Netgear

My problem with the Netgear.com password is that I can’t pass the new password window.
It shows that my new password is too weak.
Nothing works.
Only when I copy and paste the Netgear temp verification code, I can save my new password and login into my Netgear account.

Are you two users with two user names, or one user with two user
names, or what?  At least one of us is confused.

I can visit "Netgear.com" without supplying a password.

   Still a mystery.

But wasting other people's time with vague and ambiguous problem
descriptions is no problem?

Re: A password for Netgear

Yes, I can visit Netgear.com without any issues.
I have purchased RAX35v2 several weeks ago.
I had some installing issues. Stupid me - I purchased also an extender EX7500.
I decided to call for help.
After waiting on hold for about 50 minutes, I was informed that , yes for $89 , we could help you. In short, the technician recommended to create a Netgear account. I received a temp password, the same password I used for the Netgear app on my iPhone.
For some reason, the password on my iPhone’s Netgear app was deleted; therefore, I need to change my password.
And I could not pass the stage of entering new password.
That is what my post is about.
P.S. I am typing on iPhone please forgive my mistakes.

LOL.

Sorry for misunderstanding.

After I've purchased RAX35v2 along with EX7500, I have created an account with NETGEAR in order to get more information about my products. When the installation woes were gone, I have not used the Netgear account for some time.

Suddenly, I've started experience some "strange issues with my RAX35v2. I've decided to post my question at the Netgear forum/Community discussion club.

I've tried to remember my password, but there was only one choice - to RESET a new one.

No problem.

I've received a temporary verification code via email and started creating my new password.

I've done it HUNDREDS of times for various other accounts.

But NOTHING WORKED. All my COMPLEX passwords were TOO WEAK for Netgear, and I was stuck on that RESET PAGE.

I said to myself, "Create a new account".

And that's what I did.

Once again. My ISSUE is with the Netgear web-site "SMARTNESS" on creation of Passwords.

This comment is not(!) to change anything "at" and/or with NETGEAR.

It's just that simple procedure has CREATED AN EMOTIONAL HURRICANE, and I needed to express my grievances.

N.B. I'm so glad that NOBODY ELSE has gone through that kind of "Tornado in the tea cup" moment.
