AC1750 - lRecuring failing transmission - even though WIFI LED on, have internet via ethernet

So this is my second Modem Router that is failing in the same way.

It all works for a couple of days and then suddenly the WIFI networks disappear of all of my devices even though the WIFI lights are on on the box, the internet to my computer works via ethernet cable, the NetGear Genie shows that I have a good connection and that the WiFI is up and running.

I have fixed this twice by doing a hard reset on the box - however this is not a remedy.  I can't keep doing this.  I returned the box hoping this was a hardward problem however the new one did the exact same thing.

I spent 3 hours with Netgear support who tried lots of stuff, like changing hte names of hte networks, doing ping text, changing channels checking that boxes for tranmission were checked etc.  In the end they told me to do a hard reboot, but again, thats not a solution to have to do this every time it fails if it fails continually.  They were very nice but ultimately I had to replace the box and it seems like I'm going to have to do that again - and rent equipment from Spectrum since I don't have time to be doing this.

Did they ever try downgrading the firmware a version? 

maybe there's an issue with the version of firmware you're on.

Yes they checked out the firmware version
They didn’t downgrade it
Their only explanation was that there might be interference with other networks but that isn’t a solution for me

Try the downgrade. It wouldn't be the first device that had an issue with specific firmware. And it could save you some $

Ok thanks I will try that. That’s something I need to do with net gear and not with my service provider correct?

Its fairly simple to do. download the older firmware, extract it. Then just follow the manual firmware update process and use the older firmware instead of newer firmware. I'd recommend doing it over an ethernet connection.
