Actual speed
I have 1gig of internet coming out of the wall. How much of of that gig will I actually get coming out of the router? When I run the speedtest from the Netgear app it only shows around 200 Mbps. How do I get it closer to a gig?

Re: Actual speed
The netgear app does a poor job of picking the best server.
That's why we recommend speedtesting over a hardwired connection and trying multiple servers/sites. Some sites won't saturate gigabit either.
Also, for the r6700 to hit gigabit speeds, you need to make sure qos, access controls, parental controls, and traffic monitoring have been disabled.
If they've already been disabled and its still stuck at 200mbps, then do a factory reset.
what modem/gateway do you have?
what firmware is on the router?
Have you tried testing with a pc/laptop hardwired in?
FYI, wireless won't hit gigabit speeds.
