Best Current Router
Hello. I’m moving into a 1 bedroom apartment. I’ve never had my own router, and the complex is recommending the NETGEAR NightHawk Smart WiFi Router (R6700)-AC1750. I’m not even sure what I need to loo...
If the internet service/modem is not great, even the best router will not help. I agree with FURRYe38 though, the RAX's are good and in a small place you don't want to oversaturate your wi-fi signal with a setup that overwhelms the signal.
One thing I would suggest though is future proof your setup by getting a router with some of the newer protocols such as 6E. May be a bit more expensive up front, but newer devices will be able to utilize to full effect and any future devices you buy will not be hindered by an outdated router.

Just FYI, that Mfr seems to be under scrutiny for nefarious things they seem to be doing.
