Bridging a R7800 main with R6700v3 secondary

Hello. I need help connected 2nd router as a bridge/repeater. The model numbers are: R6700V3 as a 2nd router to be connected to an R7800 as the main router. I have tried to update the settings on the R6700 to spoof Mac address and set primary IP as gateway for r6700. The port now shows its properly connected but it still connects without internet. Do I need a crossover cable? Has anyone been successful in this set up?

Re: Bridging a R7800 main with R6700v3 secondary

If your using the R6700 as a secondary router via ethernet cable, change it's IP address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.67.1. The two routers use same IP address and can't be on same IP address when both are connected.

Connect the R6700 using it's WAN port the R7800 LAN port in back.

Re: Bridging a R7800 main with R6700v3 secondary

I have done that, didn't do anything. I've spoofed the secondary router with MAC address, Subnet mask, DNS, and changed the IP address. That didn't work. I've tried WAN and LAN ports, I've tried to enable bridging, but the I can't connect to the Wi-Fi. I've tried so many paths but I can get the secondary router to connect to the internet even when it shows its connected in the settings. I'm at a loss. Any additional insights are appreciated.

Try setting up the R6700 router in AP mode behind the R7800:
