Can't resolve hostnames with R7800

I'm not sure if this is a NetBIOS problem or a local DNS problem, but I can't resolve any hostnames on the network run by my Netgear R7800. For example, I have a linux machine on my home network with the hostname "atlas," and if I "ssh atlas" or even "ping atlas" from another computer on the network, the name "atlas" cannot be resolved. Connecting by IP address works fine. The machine received an IP address via DHCP and shows up in the Attached Devices page of the R7800 interface without issues.
I don't see local DNS settings anywhere in the R7800 interface. Any ideas?

There is no DNS capability in Netgear firmware. Populate your /etc/hosts file on LINUX machines and c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file on Windows machines.

Damn, that's pretty annoying. Thanks though.
