I have a Brennan CD player that I can control from my PC. My issue is that the IP Address for the Brennan keeps changing. The Brennan help refers to Internet/LAN and look at the DHCP IP Address pool. It also says click-on the DHCP Lease then manual assignment.
I am a bit of a Luddite where all this is concerned - can someone assist please?
I have a Netgear Nighthawk X4S wifi router. I can logon to that but then the terms/abbreviations don't tie in with the Brennan help.
Any guidence/hints/tips gratefully received
Many thanks

None of that is a model number. Look at the product label.
> Model: R7800|Nighthawk X4S AC2600 Wifi Router
Is that accurate?

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Look for "Specify the
IP Addresses That the Router Assigns" and "Manage Reserved LAN IP
Addresses".
The DHCP address pool is the range of addresses from "Starting IP
Address" through "Ending IP Address" on the ADVANCED > Setup > LAN
Setup page. Netgear calls "manual assignment" "Address Reservation".
To add an address reservation for a gizmo, you'll need to know the MAC
address of the gizmo. This (more or less permanent characteristic of
the gizmo) should appear in an "Attached Devices" report (BASIC >
Attached Devices).
