Connection keeps dropping on various devices
Hi Everyone,
I am having a recurring issue where my devices keep losing connection, especially on the 5G network but sometimes on the 2.4ghz network too. For instance, I'll be on a Zoom call on 5G network, then suddenly lose connection, then switch to the 2.4ghz network and it works fine. Other times, both networks drop connection and I end up having to reset the router and modem which resolves the issue. This happens across devices (computers, cell phones, apple TV.) I called my ISP who sent a tech over, and found no issues with the internet and pointed to the router as the issue.
My router is less than a year old, and I have the V1.0.9.88 firmware.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try one of the newer versions? Among older versions,
V1.0.9.42_10.2.44 was found to be pretty satisfactory by many.
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads. (For older versions, under Firmware and Software
Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".) Find the kit(s).
Download the kit(s) you want. Read the "Release Notes" file for
instructions. (In the User Manual, look for "firmware", and,
especially, for a topic like "Manually Upload Firmware to the Router".)
When that fails because of a deficient User Manual, try:

Re: Connection keeps dropping on various devices
Will try updating the firmware manually. Oddly, the Netgear app was saying I had the "most up to date" firmware, but it was not the latest update on the netgear website.
Will see if the problem resolves - thanks.
