DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN” error
Ever since I got my new Nighthawk R8000P router, I got DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN” error on all webpages on multiple browsers. I called my IP provider and they said it was not an issue on their side. After researching the problem online, I found that if I change my DNS server from automatic to a manual DNS server the pages load fine. I am currently using Cloudfare DNS.
Has anybody else run into this issue and what did you do to solve it without having to manually put in a DNS server setting?

Re: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN” error
what modem/gateway do you have?
do you have IPv6 enabled? If not, enable it and reboot the router.
If so, try using a different ipv4 provider like googles at 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 or cloudfare at 1.1.1.1

Re: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN” error
I am using the modem that Spectrum provided. It is an Arris.
How do I enable IPV6?

Re: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN” error
Is it running the 1.4.2.84 firmware? If so, that's the problem. Downgrade it to 1.4.1.68 and the problems will go away. Had to do the same on my R8000P. There are various threads on here about the buggy firmware Netgear has released for various models and hasn't bothered to fix in months.
