Did R7000 1.0.6.54 get pulled?

All links to 1.0.6.54 seem to lead nowhere. "Requested file does not exist" Another failed beta? Are we going to just give up on Arlo support for this router? I think at this point, for our troubles, we all deserve a free Arlo base station.

Hello Elaine,
I'm on V1.0.6.28, do you also recommend a reset to factory defaults after flashing?

@jbernardo Yes, I would factory reset it just to be sure that there are no settings that would cause problems.

Can you backup settings in router, then flash and then pull in the backup cfg settings file.
Not advisable. The data can change between f/w versions. Only reliable when re-flashing the SAME version after you install it and reset. Other case would be if you made changes and didn't like them and wanted to restore the settings you had before changing them. This is especially true if you are going backwards in versions.
However I guess you could try it, but if you have problems, RESET and then manually enter required settings, but it isn't advised to do this.

Re: Did R7000 1.0.6.54 get pulled?
If my memory recall is correct, that was one of the Arlo beta's. If so, people going backwards did complain about an Arlo SSID broadcasting but it didn't work. Seems to have been a remnant of the old beta left. Reseting the router after the backward flash did fix that problem.

Factory Reset
I'm not sure what settings I changed from factory default. I have at least 8 port forwarding settings that I added. Will those change? Is there a way to get a list of settings that one needs to record befor a factory reset is done.

Re: Factory Reset
Not that I know of? I'd suggest taking SCREENSHOTS of each page and use those as a guide.

Re: Factory Reset
Click on Apply button on every page to change setings after factory reset? I am geting along in years, so I hate to keep using up remaining Lifetime .. You have been helpful! A modern household, as I have, with all kinds of home automation, cameras, advanced HAM radio, security systems and the "plain vanilla" computers has created the most challenging task in electronics... Routers! The R7000 is a great router for me, I struugle to keep up with updates to firmware when a new option arises, like Arlo. The support on Netgear tends to fade away after a new release. Companies need to release firmware in the same way that hardware was released when i was an engineer. Test it, test it and test it some more until everyone is happy. Thank You

Re: Factory Reset
I have OpenVPN also set up on the router. Do any openvpn settings get erased in the router with a factory reset? It is a pain to set up and I can't really test it from home. It is taking me a lot of time to do R7000 firmware changes when a factory reset is called for.... very painful process.

Not sure Netgear would appreciate me posting a link to it since the thread has been removed so PM me and I'll send you a Dropbox link for this firmware.
