Re: Different name after replace modem
After replacing it, did you factory reset the EX8000 and reinstall it?
What modem do you have?
what router do you have?

Re: Different name after replace modem
You need to go into more details. You're expecting answers off giving me very limited info.
What modem/gateway do you have?
What router is the extender connected to?
How did you setup the extender? using wps, using the installation assistant?
Did you setup the extender to run using "one ssid" or using its own ssid?
The old/new network names you're describing. Not sure exactly what you're saying here.

Re: Different name after replace modem
Try factory resetting the extender and then rerunning setup using the installation wizard.
