During factory reset says wrong serial number.
I've tried everything to unbrick my nighthawk r9000 but nothing works, tt's stuck at the input serial number and just comes back and says it's wrong. Then proceeds to have me reset with the paper clip but does the same thing. I't stuck in an endless loop. I have searched for a solution and the solution is to reset to factory settings. I can't be the only customer to have this issue. It seems like it should be a simple fix!!

What are you doing and where does it go wrong? I can't tell from your description.
Try this:
- Press reset for 30 seconds
- Keep pressing reset while removing power
- Keep pressing reset for another 30 seconds while apply power

It isn't something that I recall seeing here often if ever.

Re: During factory reset says wrong serial number.
If the password recovery was never enabled on your R9000 before, the "forgot password" a dead end - you will loop there forever. A factory reset as shown will bring up the R9000 with it's default config, username: admin password: password .
