Then you need to factory reset it. At the back there's a Reset hole. Push it in with a pin for 10-15 seconds and release. It'll revert back to router mode and you can go set it up again
PS: AP mode is only used to extend range and needs a "master" router to operate. It disables many things such as DHCP, DNS, QoS, etc. It basically acts like a (wireless) switch

Re: Enabled AP mode now "cannot get ip address"
you cannot use routerlogin.net in AP mode, only in router mode. Find the IP address your AP gets from the main router and use that to login in the AP

Not sure, but there are multiple posts about this. Search a little. Maybe one or more threads has the answer

"NAT issues" is not a very detailed description of anything.

"cannot" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.

Not strictly true, as I learned a while ago:

> This is my only router. Its hooked directly to the cable modem
Has either of these devices a maker and/or model number?
If your (unspecified) "the cable modem" is actually a modem (and not
a modem+router), then configuring your (unspecified) "my only router" as
a wireless access point would be a mistake. A settings reset should
restore it to router mode.
What is the IP address of the WAN/Internet interface on your
(unspecified) "my only router"?
ADVANCED > ADVANCED Home : Internet Port : Internet IP Address
Is that address a private/non-routable address? (If it's not obvious,
then plug it in at: https://whois.arin.net/ .)
Possibly relevant:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrier-grade_NAT
If your ISP interposes a NAT router between your stuff and the
outside world, then there may be little which you can do about it.

What is that modem? Make and model might help.
