Ethernet Connection issue between GS316 Switch and modem router
I am not sure I am posting this in the correct board but would appreciate any help or advice you have to offer.
We have the Netgear GS316 switch connected to our Hitron CODA-4582 modem router. It worked for a few days (mid Feb) but since then the ethernet connection between the switch and the modem router fails intermittently. We have tried restarting the modem router but it has not helped and the period where the connection fails has increased to unbearable amounts.
So we have disconnected the Netgear switch and reconnected out old Cisco switch and it works perfectly.
Any help would be appreciated.

Since it's an unmanaged, dumb switch there's not a lot you can do but to replace it with one that plays nice with the modem. Might also change cables too
