Ethernet Switch -- Not Connecting Devices

Thank you. I've spent countless hours trying to pinpoint the problem, even to the point of opening up the hardware. I didn't want to invest in another switch if it wasn't the problem, but I can't find any other logical solution.
- I tried connecting the same switch directly to the modem but nothing changed.
In the very end, I at least learned a lot. Thank you for your time and input
