HELP - My 5Ghz Wireless Network no longer has internet / DHCP connection
Hi,
Overnight without a valid reason, my Nighthawk X10 has lost internet connectivity to my 5Ghz Wireless Network (802.11a/n/ac). Also with my Guest 5Ghz wireless.
It is on, it is configured, it showing as a valid wirless network devices can connect to, but when they attempt to do so it states it has 'no internet connection'.
Reconfigured the SSID, Channel & mode to other values - no change.
Factory reset and firmware upgrade to V1.0.5.38 - no change.
What I did notice though was when I select 'None' for security options - it connects fine, has internet and is usable 100% as a 5Ghz connection again.
In IOS for example when I look at the connection settings, the IPv4 address is not picking up the usual DHCP generated IP address the 2.4Ghz one uses.
Instead it gives it the 169.254.215.x range IP.
My 2.4Ghz is working fine.
Anyone experienced this and is there a fix for it.
Thks.

Re: HELP - My 5Ghz Wireless Network no longer has internet / DHCP connection
Have you tried downgrading and then doing a factory reset/reinstall?
Maybe a newer firmware is actually the problem and not the fix.
