Help to get the most out of my Netgear Nighthawk.
My old router is beyond repair and I picked up the Netgear R7000. I've been looking for some help on setting up the router to work well with my chromecast, 2 android phones, 1 android tablet, wii u, 2 laptops, and 1 wired pc. The chromecast video quality hasn't been up to par recently and I can't figure out what settings to change that would improve it.

You'll have to say a bit more about what you mean by "up to par" before anyone can begin to suggest where you can change things.
The best place to get help with particular devices is usually to ask the people who made them. When you know how to set up the Chromecast, then you can look at tweaking the R7000.
There's not a lot of performance tweaking you can do on stock firmware. It basically does not allow that as it doesn't expose such settings. All you can tweak is WiFi channels and its settings and DoS/Traffic Meter/QoS & co
