How do you set a static IP on the Nighthawk R8000

Question

How do you set up a static IP on the R8000. I follow the form under Advanced Setup/Static Routes but it does not work. Are there definitions of what Destination IP, Gateway IP and Metric should be. I assumed Destination IP was the Desired IP to make static and Gateway IP was the Router IP. Metric I have no clue&nbsp;

do you want to set a static IP for WAN? If so, go to Advanced -> Setup -> Internet Setup. Otherwise, static IPs are set on the device(s), not at router level

if you want to *reserve* an IP address for a device, go to Advanced -> Setup -> LAN setup
