How to disable WAN login on R7000

Running R7000 with latest firware V1.0.9.42_10.2.44 . Found that you can login from WAN as admin. Can WAN login be disabled?

Remote management and uPNP has already been disabled.

How, exactly, did you determine that?  [*]  As usual, showing actual
actions with their actual results (error messages, LED indicators, ...)
can be more helpful than vague descriptions or interpretations.

It should be disabled by default.

I wouldn't expect UPnP to matter.  ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > Remote
Management should control the feature.

[*]
o What, exactly, is the URL which you specify in your web browser?

o Is it the URL shown at ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > Remote

Management : Remote Management Address"?

o Are you doing this from somewhere on your LAN, or from an
outside-world site?

If you're testing from inside your LAN, then the "NAT loopback"
feature of the R7000 could make it appear that a request to the
WAN/Internet IP address of the R7000 will get a response, but the result
from the outside world could be quite different.  A more realistic test
(actually from the outside world) would be more trustworthy.

Re: How to disable WAN login on R7000

You are correct on the NAT loopback. I was checking it on my cell phone and inadvertantly left WiFi on. Once on cellular, can no longer access the router.

Thanks.
