Hybernate External HDD of PLEX

Hello,

Is there any way that I could set up my external Western Digital connected via USB to my NETGEAR X10 router to hybernate or sleep, while PLEX or other proceses from him are not used?

My HDD is a little bit noisy and I can hear it all day and all night spinning in my room.

Thank you!

Ps. Sorry for bad EN.

Welcome to the community, @softerist

Unfortunately, there is no setting on the router that would make your external drive to put on hibernate/sleep when not in use.

You may just safely remove it.

Thank you for your answer.

I hope this will be implemented in the near feature.

You're welcome.

I suggest that you submit it under our Ideas Exchange board.

Re: Hybernate External HDD of PLEX

Ideas Exchange board does not have a thread for R9000 router. So I can't submit it... this sucks bad.

The board is not product specific. You can just simply create one for your request.

Just make sure to indicate the model either in the title or in the textbox.
