ftp://download.netgear.com.cn:8084/R7000/R7000-V1.0.5.52_1.1.81.chk so thats the beta firmware, I've just downloaded it and so far its pretty impressive... I nearly got 60Mbs on an laptop that couldn't get past 45Mbs on any other firmware, thats was on 2G, auto channel. And 5G is also faster (AC Note 3). Port forwarding is also better and everyhting is fast!!! just download it, and see what you think...
other good things about it are here: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-WiFi-Routers/R7000-V1-0-5-52-1-1-81-chk/td-p/1024843

Did you do a reset right after you've installed 6.28? Because my download speed wasn't good either, I then wanted to try a previous firmware, did a reset, but just before I installed 4.28, so right after the reset, I did a download test and it was as fast as before, >600Mb (and yesterday >700): [IMG]http://www.speedtest.net/result/4983956305.png[/I...

Re: Impressive R7000 Firmware HERE
You would think they NETGEAR would had jumped in on that thread BUT instead they rush another POS according to some. I've been on the 1.0.6.28 longer the other and still kicking the tires.
If I could get the blue update banner to go away I'd switch back to it.

Re: Impressive R7000 Firmware HERE
Hello,
Did you have to do a full reset before/after? What about the backups? Useful or not?
Thanx 🙂

Re: Impressive R7000 Firmware HERE
Question again: does the ReadyShare printer works WITH the access control settings on? Doesn't work with the previous firmware from Netgear, so...

Re: Impressive R7000 Firmware HERE
Hi LeKeiser,
It should still work even if access control is enabled.

Hello James,
It does indeed, I have installed the firmware 6.28 yesterday and tried ReadyShare Printer right away with success 🙂
