I bought a Nighthawk X8 for a very large home in hopes of complete coverage. How do I extend coverage in the house? Can anything be added to the system in the area of the home that does not have coverage? I have ethernet in several places in that area that comes back to the same location the R8500 is located as well.

You can purchase another router that supports Access Point mode, or the EX7000, which makes a great AccessPoint. Just configure the device from your laptop / desktop, cable up the device to your base router and you have further wireless coverage into your home.
