Internet Not Connected...

I'm trying to set up my new router with my new modem and internet service. While using the app, it's consistently telling me that "Internet is not connected..." with a red "x" next to it. Anyone have any recommendations for how to get this set up? I've troubleshot EVERYTHING that is recommended on the website and I still get nothing.

I ended up going to routerlogin.net and manually configured the network settings. There was a "MAC Setting" that was set to "Default" that needed to be changed to "Computer MAC". Once I flipped that and re-connected everything, I got it to work.

Re: Internet Not Connected...
I'm using an Arris Surfboard8200 as my modem. Xfinity is my internet provider. I'm connected to the internet and using my computer, as you read this, plugged into the same modem the router is plugged into. I don't know what else to do and I've been on hold for 2 hours with customer service.

Re: Internet Not Connected...
Instead using crappy apps, have you tried the Web UI at http://192.168.1.1 ?

Re: Internet Not Connected...
What arris do you have? Is it the SB8200?
If so, it does have 2x ethernet ports on there but with xfinity, only port 1 works unless you have wan port aggregation.
Try shutting off the modem and router. disconnect all the cables from both (including coax).
Then connect coax back to modem and turn it on. give it several minutes.
Then connect port 1 on sb8200 to wan port of router. boot up the router.
Give it several minutes. attempt setup/usage.
