Is there a startup problem with my R7800 router now? (it worked fine before)
TL:DR - I connect up my NIghthawk router in my garage to work as a wireless access point, but after a factory reset, NETGEAR11 does not appear.
Details - I've had this NIghthawk router for several years and it worked flawlessly. Then we moved to a new city and the new Xfinity cable modem included wifi so I put the Nighthawk away in storage for about 2 years. Recently, I pulled it out of storage to see if I could use it as a wireless acess point in the (detached) garage. The Xfinity cable modem connects to a switch which connects all the rooms in the house, including the line to the garage (I personally made sure each connection works and tested them) and all but the connection to the garage is actively used. When I first powered up the Nighthawk in the garage, I saw my old wifi network names appear on my computers and phones (so that's good!). Since I want to only use one network name (different from my old network names), I did a factory reset on the Nighthawk. It seems to power up just fine (all the lights are white, and nothing seems weird) - however the default "Netgear11" (the sticker with the QR code says it should default to the name Netgear11 upon startup) does not appear on any of my wifi networks I can see using my computer and phone. Restarting (power cycling) and/or doing a factory reset on the Nighthawk does not seem to change this. Any thoughts? My first guess is that it is busted, but I can't imagine how or why it would suddenly malfunction.

Have you looked into the Web UI at http://192.168.1.1 ? Might be disabled there. There's also a LED button on the router to enable/disable WiFi. Maybe you accidentally pressed it?
