I have a Nighthawk 10 with Plex and love it. Now I have attempted to add a second media drive and found out that only one of the usbs is for drives and the other for a printer. Is there a better solution that I can have Plex and be able to use both of my media drives?

Nighthawk 10 is not a model number! Do you mean the R9000?

Can't disagree there. NETGEAR doesn't support Plex anymore.
USB is fine for dumb storage, like local backup, but not for anything that needs some processing oomph.
