Keep having to restart the router not the modem with Nighthawk R7000
I have had the cabe company out several times and they tell me the internet speed and the modem are good. The Nighthawk has to be reset several times a day as it drops the internet connection. The router is up to date.
Any suggestions? Otherwise it runs fine in between

Re: Keep having to restart the router not the modem with Nighthawk R7000
@JFV4756 So, which version of the R7000 router do you have? AC1900 or AC2300?
Firmware up to date? what version of firmware are you running exactly? Many enquirers come onto the forum and state that their router firmware is up to date only to find out they are sometimes several updates behind because when they log into the router browser GUI, it tells them no updates are available.
How long have you owned this router?
When did the problems start? was it after a firmware update?
What is your internet speed upload/download?
Have you changed any settings from default?
You say your cable company tells you your internet speed and modem are good. They've kind of given you your answer, either use their supplied ISP router (if they supply one), or buy a different brand of router.
No one here knows what your environmental situation is, what sort of building you live in, how many devices you are running on your system, whether or not those devices are themselves up to date on their firmware etc. Only you can answer those questions.
