Link Asus RP-AC1900 Network to Nighthawk C7000 AC1900
I have a Nighthawk AC1900 router/modem and am using an ASUS RP-AC1900 repeater. Am I able to have the ASUS repeater on the same network as the Nighthawk? ASUS support told me to contact Netgear....

Ah. It is a Mesh device. That wasn't clear. The first message just said "extender".
It is strange that Asus didn't say that when first asked.
Am I able to have the ASUS repeater on the same network as the Nighthawk? ASUS support told me to contact Netgear...Not a lot of help when talking about a proprietary system.
Looks like we have found another company with a less than helpful support service.

I don't have one so I can't attest to how it works/functions, but AiMesh is Asus's own mesh solution.
You're not using it with a AiMesh compatible router, you're using it with a Netgear C7000.
So it might function in extender mode fine but not as a mesh device.

Ah okay, thanks for the clarification. Yes, would have been nice if Asus said that in the first place.

The size of the Asus manual is a bit of a giveaway. They clearly don't want to reveal too much. Netgear's manuals are massive in contrast.
I would not be surprised if there is some sort of "switch" in the Asus device that let's you convert it to simple "AP" mode. (Some of Netgear's Mesh stuff has that option.) This would wipe out the Mesh capability, but that seems to be what you want to achieve anyway.
