Mediacom compatible Modem/Router combos

I recently switched to Mediacom cable internet with 100 MB service. I don't want to pay $15 a month to lease their Techniclor producrts, but I can't find info anywhere on Netgear combinations for Mediacom?

Have you checked with mediacom for what devices are compatible with their service? 

This was the only list  I could find from mediacom but it even says on it to call in and check compatibility.

I had that list, but was curious if anyone has used any of the other Netgear products with Mediacom.
