My r6400v1 has asus firmware.
I have a netgear r6400v1 ac1750 with asusRt-ac68u firmware.
I can't figure out how or if I even can return it to netgear firmware again.
Tried to flash the r6400 firmware, and I'm just getting endless errors, like the router says it's Asus and it wil stay asus.

Re: My r6400v1 has asus firmware.
sounds like someone installed 3rd party firmware (asus merlin) to it.
options?
1. return it/exchange it wherever you bought it.
2.use it. merlin is pretty sound firmware. might even enjoy it over stock netgear firmware
3. check on the merlin/ddwrt boards for removing it and getting back to stock. Their going to be the experts on removing the firmware without bricking the device.
