Need to change the X10 (R9000) Router Admin Account Login Name from Admin to...
Hello, I hope this question is in the right place. Please advise and forgive me if it is not, and I will correct it right away.
I have a Netgear X10 (R9000) Wi-Fi Router that I would like to change the Admin username on. The default user and pass for this router are username=admin, password=password. I have the password part changed, I just need to find where it is that I change the default username.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. After years of DD-WRT use, I changed the firmware back to the stock Netgear flash, and am seeing issues that haunted me from day one, fade away with ease.. 🙂 Great success so far, but it would really be helpful to be able to change that username to the one I was using when I used DD-WRT.
Thanks in advance,
Scott

You can't. The admin username is hard wired.
Why do you want to change it?
Perhaps someone can offer other solutions.
