Re: Netgear Night hawk R8000P lights blinking but no able to reset or connect
You pushed and held for up to 10 seconds?
Are you sure you're using the correct power supply?
You can try recovering it with tftp or nmrpflash.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash
https://github.com/jclehner/nmrpflash
also in AP setup: RAXE500->EAX80
1.4gig download/50mbps upload from Xfinity

Re: Netgear Night hawk R8000P lights blinking but no able to reset or connect
Sounds like your router is bricked, meaning the firmware has been corrupted on it. Did you have it on automatic update? I keep hearing stories of people having their routers on auto update and have the issue of their router being bricked. I suggest you try to unbrick it. There are several videos on youtube that tell you how to unbrick a router. I've done it myself with a program called tftp2.exe but watch those videos, there are several steps to unbrick it. You'll also have to download a firmware file for your model from the netgear website.
