New CM1150V: Wireless connection not working

New modem (CM1150V) and the old router (R8000P) has stopped working, I can connect to the internet with an ethernet cord if I plug it into the modem, however the wireless connection does not have any internet whatsoever, I've tried on multiple devices and there is no wireless connection, but the ethernet connection works. The Genie says the most recent software is installed. Any idea how to fix?

a couple things. 

1. make sure only the R8000P is plugged into the CM1150V. I realize it has more than 1 ethernet port but the majority of ISP's only support 1 public ip address. So only 1 device connected to it (other than the voice device). If you had more than 1 device, power off the modem and the router and disconnect everything from the modem. Then power it back on, give it 2 minutes, connect the router to it and power the router back on. 

2. What actual firmware number is on the r8000P

3. The wifi is broadcasting? But when you connect to it, it doesn't work?
