New router will not coonect to smart devices. 2.4ghz resets router
Hi All,
I just upgraded my internet package and purchased a new router. The router is a Netgear C7000v2. I have multiple smar bulbs, plugs, and a robot vaccum that I need to reconfigure to the new WiFi. Everytime I try and pair one of the devices to the 2.4 connection, the entire router resets.
I have tried temporarily disabling 5ghz, no luch there. I also entered DNS #'s from Netgear support, that did nothing. I am shocked that I am having so many issue with a new Netgear device. I was previously using an old model Netgear router/modem combo with all the same smart home devices. No issues.
Any advice on what it could be?

have you tried a simple factory reset? Maybe the speed change caused an issue.
Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered on. Then reinstall the C7000
