Night Hawk R7000 - Change geographical location
My Night Hawk R7000 will not connect to the App so I need to change my geographical location manually. I am overseas but I don't want my employer to know my location. How do I change my location IP address to show Dallas Tx server instead of my ISP server?

Re: Night Hawk R7000 - Change geographical location
You need a VPN hosted from the location you want it to show as.
Your work isn't basing it off your computer but off your ip address assigned by your ISP. (simplified version)

Re: Night Hawk R7000 - Change geographical location
Currently have Nord VPN service. After further research, I believe I need to use "OpenVPN". There are some clear steps to do this but the initial step is to flash the router. Next step is to set the NordVPN addresses beneath DHCP settings (Network Server settings). I am not sure I am experienced enough to follow this.

- DD-WRT Firmware enables your router to work with OpenVPN. So, you have to install and flash your router with the DD-WRT Firmware first. (Yikes, I'm afraid to do this)

Re: Night Hawk R7000 - Change geographical location
If you want to use nordvpn, it installs a 3rd party firmware to your router.
You'd want to follow their guides for install/usage and not the official netgear forum
