Nighthawk AC1900 Smart wifi Router - Model R7000 (bought in 2016)
Hello everyone,
I would appreciate your thoughtful responses on the following:
1- My router shows firmware version V1.0.11.126_10.2.112. Is this the latest version available and in what year was it released? I ask because I have not received any updates for my router lately?
2- If I decide to replace my router, I would like recommendations for a new router that can handle 30+ devices and also have the usual feature to Turn off wireless signal by schedule.
Thanks in advance
George

This would be most current FW: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-WiFi-Routers/New-R7000-Firmware-Version-1-0-11-134-Released/td-p/2197473/jump-to/first-unread-message

Ok, I downloaded the latest update to my router above. It was a zip file that included the following files:
R7000xxxxxxx.chk and
Release notes
How do I open or use the .chk file? Any help is appreciated.
