I am running the following Firmware Version
V1.0.9.88_10.2.88
I have read the message traffic that I need to go to a firmware version ov V1.0.7 or lower to fix the problem. I do not see this version on the Netgear support page. Where do I find this version or lower?
Are there any other fixes out there besides downgrading the firmware version?

"AC1900" is a speed, not a model number. Look at the product label.

Not a router.

From what to what? Actual numbers would be more interesting than "in
half".

Thanks for the helpful links. _Which_ "the message traffic", where?

_Which_ "the Netgear support page"? Where did you look?
> Where do I find this version or lower?
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
and look for Downloads. (For older versions, under Firmware and
Software Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".) Find the
kit(s). Download the kit(s) you want. Read the "Release Notes" file
for instructions.
Assuming that you have an R7000, you might first try 1.0.9.42, before
going back so far as some 1.0.7.x version.

That might depend on what the cause of the problem is. A Web or
forum search for terms like "slow" might find any number of suggestions.

Re: Nighthawk AC1900 cuts internet speed in half from wired modem
Wild guess - your router might be for example a R7000. Head to https://netgar.com/support type the exact product designation (as printed on the router product label), find [Download] ... below the firmware and utilities downloads you find a "+ View previous versions" ... here are the older versions listed. Be aware that older versions can (and do) have well known security issues - so mind your step.

I don't know what you've been reading but that's not recommendation on these forums. The recommended version depends on your router model (not your router speed) which you haven't provided. I'm guessing your model is a R7000 based on your firmware version number. If that is the case then the recommended firmware version is 1.0.9.42 which is availble on the download page.

There are lots of solutions for many different problems. You haven't provided enough information about your problem to narrow it down.

Re: Nighthawk AC1900 cuts internet speed in half from wired modem
Here is the requested details of what I am running and the issue I am having.
R7000 — Nighthawk AC1900 Smart WiFi Dual Band Gigabit Router
Hardware Version R7000
Firmware Version V1.0.9.88_10.2.88
Download speed:
- Modem direct to computer via ethernet cable = 226.6 Mbps
- Modem direct to router and then router direct to computer via ethernet cables = 113.27Mbps
Upload speed: 11Mbps with either method
Modem is Motorola Surfboard SBG6580
I have powered cycle both computer, router, and modem allowing a minimum of 5 minutes of complete power off.
Searched on the following web page with the following parameters "download speeds cut in half", without finding an appropriate solution

Re: Nighthawk AC1900 cuts internet speed in half from wired modem
As previously suggested above downgrading your firmware to 1.0.9.42 is your best bet. There are just too many issues with 1.0.9.88

Re: Nighthawk AC1900 cuts internet speed in half from wired modem
I downloaded and installed the following and rebooted the router. Verified the firmware installed correctly.
Download speed is still the same 110 Mbps (half what it should be)
Firmware Version V1.0.9.42_10.2.44

Yes, that worked when I reset back to factory settings. Thank you for the help!
