Nighthawk R7000 suddenly lost internet connection

The startup sequence between the router and the gateway can be important. Remove the power connection from each. Restore the power to the gateway and give it ample time to boot and stabilize. Now restore power to the router and give it ample time to boot and stabilize. The time required for these devices to boot and stabilize is often several minutes. Two minutes is not enough.
It the above sequence is not successful, repeat with just the opposite. Power on the router first, wait for it to fully boot and stabilize before powering on the gateway. Both of the startup sequences should be done with your gateway in bridge mode.

The timing may have been the issue. I just plugged the router back into the modem and turned it on and it connected without issue. Odd, but I suppose it is fine now
