Nighthawk R7000p wifi will not turn on
I recently bought a 2nd hand Nighthawk R7000p router. I have done multiple factory resets. I have gone through the online internal setup and verified that the wifi radios are on, and set to broadcast. The wifi lights for both 2.4 and 5ghz are lit up, but it says on the basic home page of the router setup that wifi is OFF (the wifi network names also dont show up on any device that could see them). I dont know if i am missing something or if i bought a broken router.
any ideas?
I found 1 post online about someone switching up the power supply cords between their router and modem, so I took a look and the power supply that came with the router i bought (used) was only a 6v 1amp. Soon as i got a netgear 12v power cord on it, the problem was resolved.
