Nighthawk R9000 WiFi 5GH bandwidth issue with 2022 iPad
Hi. I have recently purchased the new 12.9” iPad (2022 model) and it cannot see (or connect to) the router’s 5GH WiFi network. It will connect to the nighthawk 2.4GH network.
Also, I have been able to connect to another router (Telstra smart modem gen 2) on the 5GH WiFi. Have talked to Apple support and don’t all they recommend.
I have other Apple products and older iPad that connect ok to the 5GH bandwidth but not the new iPad Pro.
Any suggestions, as I am thinking of upgrading to new RAXE500 router but now, will wait to this is resolved.

have you tried changing the 5ghz channel its broadcasting on?
Does it "see the network" and just won't connect? Or does it connect and say "connected, no internet". Or does it not even see the 5ghz network?
- Rappo07AspirantYep. Tried all the various channels in the 5Gh range and not seen.
Even made sure to try the channel it was seeing (and connecting) on the other router.

I have also same problem with Nighthawk R9000 WiFi
- Rappo07AspirantUpgraded to a RAXE500 and the iPad sees the 5GH and 6GH networks, so must be something on the old router.
