Re: Nighthawk Router AC1750 keeps dropping out.
AC1750 is a speed, not a model.
What actual router do you have?
what modem/gateway is it connected to?
What firmware is on it?
Is it all devices dropping, just wireless? Whats exactly happening?

Re: Nighthawk Router AC1750 keeps dropping out.
Hi, Thanks for trying to help me out. The Router is a RC6700v3 with the moist recent firmware. It is connected to a Spectrum Modem.

I assume that you mean R6700v3
Does that Spectrum Modem have a make and model? It could be the all important missing detail. That's why we always ask about it.

Depending on how quick I am I find the router power light orange or white. With all other lights out.
Orange or white? I see no "orange" option.
If the Internet LED is off, that explains why the wifi went down. Your Internet connection died. But the wifi LED should stay on.
Could be a hardware failure.
What do the router's logs show?

Re: Nighthawk Router AC1750 keeps dropping out.
The orange light is what first comes on when you power up the WiFi router. White would mean that the unit is functional.
I don't see anything in the router log that indicates a failure or looks unusual. I have had this setup for a year and a half and it worked fine until recently.
The Spectrum Modem is a Hiltron Tech E31N2V1 DOSSIS 3.1 eMTA.

What actual firmware version are you on?
the "most recent" hasn't always been the best with the R6700v3

In other words, when you rush into the room, if you see an orange light the router is rebooting itself. That indicates that something odd is happening. If not, it would be white when you got there.

The internet connection is going down but I believe that the router is taking it down. Is anyone aware of an overheating or other problem that would interfere with the power supply and cause this unit to periodically reboot?

Re: Nighthawk Router AC1750 keeps dropping out.
sorry, it was the version prior to armor. Some devices performed poorly with the armor firmware
