I just purchased the Nighthawk X6 R8000, the store I purchased the router from did not have the X6S R8000P. Home networking is not my specialty, so I'm wondering if I should return the X6 R8000 in exchange for the X6S R8000P? From my limited knowledge, it appears the biggest difference between the two routers is the the X6 is AC3200 and the X6S is AC4000 with MU-MIMO. Can anyone tell me what I'd be missing if I stuck with the X6?

Hi DS_2018,
Here are some features that R8000P has which R8000 does not have.
- Processor is 1.8Ghz compared to 1Ghz of R8000.
- It has port aggregation which combines two Gigabit Ethernet ports to improve the aggregated file transfer speed(Given if you have devices that uses Link aggregation like NAS).
- MU-MIMO support.
- Memory is 128MB flash and 512MB RAM compared to 128MB flash and 256MB RAM.
- Wireless is Upto 4GHz speed distributed to 2.4Ghz and 2(5GHz).

Re: Nighthawk X6 R8000 versus X6S R8000P
Unfortunately, all devices must support MU-MIMO or else it can't be used. The majority of WiFi devices don't support it and probably won't for some time to cone. So, while it's a nifty feature, you aren't going to miss it.
There may be other reasons to want the R8000P over the R8000, but MU-MIMO shouldn't be one.
