Hello, I have upgraded the firmware to the latest. I setup the router as a bridge and set the name of my router and password, make sure that all match including the encryption type of my router. After reboot. I can no longer hookup to my router via either ethernet or even wifi since the netgear does not broadcast them anymore. I can only reconnect to the router if I hard reset it. I have tried everything for hours.. Please help. Thanks. My router is a glinet ar150.
What router do you own? ac1750 is not a reliable guide to model number. Many devices come with an AC tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and other brands, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.
Look at the label on the device for the model number.

Maybe, maybe not. A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.

Sadly, "bridge" means different things depending on the context. Are you trying to set up the router to work as a wifi repeater that gets wifi from a router and passes it on to other things?

Some people do indeed use "bridge" to describe repeater, but there are other "bridges". That's why we need to known which device you own and you true intentions.

The number of routers that can work as a repeater is limited. But did you read the manual for the R6900P?
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
Check the section in the manual Use the Router in WiFi Bridge Mode.
Is this something that got removed in new firmware? If so, you could backtrack to an earlier release before they broke that bit.

And it still works? Firmware is device specific. It is tied to the chips involved and the design of the beast. Try the wrong firmware and you run the risk of breaking the thing, possibly permanently.

This is the wrong place to ask about third party firmware. Netgear doesn't support it and there aren't that many experts here in that stuff.
If bridge mode doesn't wok, there is another option worth considering. The R6900P supports access point (AP) mode. One way to connect it to the router is through powerline plugs. The put the R6900P into AP mode. This can actually provide better performance than in bridge or WDS modes.
Hello all, thanks for trying to help! Apparently, the router I have R6900p AC1900 (sorry for the error above) does not support the repeater function. It has only Router, AP and bridge. Flashing another firmware not made for it will not work using the update function. One can flash the R7000 using linux and it appears to work. I am not sure why Netgear does not include this basic function for this router? Because it is not worth the trouble to flash the R7000 firmware on it, I am returning it to Amazon.

Perhaps because it is not a "basic function" for a router. More like something that only a specialist would expect.
Anyone wanting that function would probably look for something designed with it in mind. Netgear makes a bunch of wireless extenders for that sort of thing.
The R6900P, on the other hand, is a pretty basic router in the Netgear range. So you don't get the fancy bells and whistles that justify charging a higher price.
