This tells us too little about your network.

What are you doing and where does it go wrong?

What is the modem in front of this router, if there is one?

What do the LEDs on the router look like?

Re: Nighthawk r7000 wireless will not turn on light are off even after rest

We tried to hook it up to spectrum modem. The only light that came on was the power light and the port light we had the ethernet cable pluged into it.  Using the set up www.routerlogin.com we got into the  site but we couldn't get internet and wirless was disabled. Since we couldn't get it work spectrum connected one of there routers and it worked perfectly. I took the router back to my house to see if I can find a solution . The router only shows the power light as on . I do not have it hooked up to my network. Hope this helps

What is that modem?

Spectrum has many. One of these?

That is a bad sign. The internet light should also come on.

You won't get internet without connecting it to modem.

I don't know what you mean by "wireless was disabled". Is that in the settings or just that you don't see an LED or a wifi signal?

Have you tried this?

Modem to  wired router to PC wired

The message was clear no internet //   wireless is disable inside of settings  on the pc.

I couldnt not enable wifi off  the settings tab.

Using the set up www.routerlogin.com we got into the  site but we couldn't get internet and wirless was disabled.

Simple modem. No router to get in the way. As long as it isn't one of those that has some built-in router mode. (Some do.)

The messages may be clear to you, but I can't see what you see.

Where do you see this message?

Same with wifi. What settings in the PC are you looking at that says "wireless is disabled".

If this is a Windows PC, there will be something that tells you that.

When I asked

"What do the LEDs on the router look like?"

The response we got was:

"The only light that came on was the power light and the port light we had the ethernet cable plug[g]ed into it."

Even if there is no Internet connection, the Internet light should come on as long as you have something plugged into the WAN/Internet port. (It will be amber until it connects to the Internet when it turns white.)

Likewise the wifi LEDs will be on as long as you haven't pressed the  WiFi On/Off button.
