So I've read many have been having issues with the 5ghz signal just apparently disappearing after a while. I've actually noticed it does not disappear but extremely reduces signal. Nobody can ever figure it out because all that comes up is the comparison between 2.4ghz and 5ghz signal ranges. When i say reduced signal, i mean my 5ghz went from broadcasting at least 3 or 4 bars to my room which is a few feet away across the house to not even being visible unless i hold my phone 3 inches from the antenna. And yes I've fumbled with all the settings, reset the router multiple times, but seems like nothing worked. My best bet would be possibly a burnt out antenna.

Have you tried downgrading the firmware a couple versions?
Not sure of which version of the R6700 you have because there's 3 and you didn't give us which version or firmware you're on.

If you do downgrade, make sure to do it over a hardwired connection, do a factory reset afterwards, and then make sure to do a clean install (not using a backup configuration)
