Nighthawk
Hi all I am trying to find out if the Nighthawk 1750 or any other Netgear router will do what I am trying to do. I use a PC Windows computer and have been connecting to the Internet via a DSL connection. Experimenting I find I can enable the computer to access the Internet through my Android smartphone with a way higher throughput than the DSL connection. The connection is wireless or with a Bluetooth USB cable.. So I am looking for a router than can connect to Internet data through the Android phone wirelessly or with a USB cable. If so I could use both of our 2 computers to connect to the Internet and also use a VoIP converter plugged into the router. Thanks in advance for your help. "Nighthawk 1750" is not a model number but a speed indicator. What is the actualt router model?
Which firmware are you using? (not "the latest" but a version)

Hi,Thanks for your prompt reply. I was asking if any Netgear router can access the Internet through an Android smartphone. Right now my computer is connected to the Internet wirelessly through my Android phone. I need a router that can connect to the Internet through a smartphone. Does that kind of router exist? As I have downloaded the user manual for a Netgear Nighthawk 1750 router I don't understand you saying that it is not a Netgear product. TIA Mike Eisenstadt

I don't think regular NETGEAR routers support tethering from a phone
The 1750 is a speed indicator, not a model number. That would be R6700
