OpenVPN works once or twice, then have to reset

Hello,

Nighthawk R800P Firmware 1.4.2.84_1.3.4.2

1.) We can connect successfully one or two times, disconnect, but then it stops working with error 5001.  The only way to get it working again is to toggle the "ENABLE VPN SERVICE" off, then back on.  Clients immediately connect...... Until they disconnect then it has to be toggled again.

2.) When I go to localhost/openvpn_crt_check.html, it ALWAYS says I need a certificate update.  The update appears to complete very fast, but going back to the URL always says a new cert is available.

Is this the wrong router to be using for a business production VPN?  I have used OpenVPN successfully on other brands without these flaky kinds of problem.  Its over $300 for this router and I expect it to be solid.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

Re: OpenVPN works once or twice, then have to reset

The same happens to me: connecting only once and then I have to toggle off and on VPN in my R8000P router to be able to reconnect again with OpenVPN Android Client.
I've updated to the latest firmware 1.4.3.88_1.3.50 and performed a factory reset, to no avail.
Has anybody solved the issue or can Netgear fix it?
This makes VPN useless.

Something to contact NG support about and open up a support ticket.
